BELL FIRE EQUIPMENT FIRE PUMPS
A range of pumps specifically designed for Bushfire Control where significant advantages in suppression are obtained by using lower water volumes at higher pressures: – i.e. Less water used means portable water supplies last longer to make a fire unit more effective at the fire front and higher pressures are more efficient at breaking up and thus penetrating fuel types to provide improved cooling/saturation. As well, high pressure hose streams are better able to withstand fire wind effects.
The BFE RANGE OF HIGH PRESSURE FIRE-FIGHTING PUMPS are lightweight direct-coupled single stage centrifugal pumps manufactured from corrosion resistant marine grade aluminium with stainless fastenings. Simple in construction, extremely robust with self adjusting hi-tech long wearing seal faces, they are capable of high output pressures when close coupled to engines developing up to 3600 rpm in the range of 8 – 60 hp, petrol or diesel.
RAYDAN RTP CHEMICAL/FOAM INDUCTOR
The Raydan RTP (Round The Pump) type flow inductors have been developed to provide induction of the various range of fire fighting foam concentrates into small diameter (20mm/25mm) hose lines located on fire unit hose reels as well as normal Layflat delivered (40mm/65mm) high volume fire hose streams. The Raydan is a variable proportioner and provides accurate induction on pumps up to 75mm suction.
There are 2 different models available:
Standard (yellow) model, with which foam production can be achieved through normally aspirated foam branches at 3%-6% (40mm/65mm hose) or through non-aspirated variable type hose reel fog nozzles at 1%-12% (20mm/25mm hose).
The limited flow (blue) model eliminates chemical/foam wastage through the inaccurate method of dumping concentrates into water supply tanks or using variable in-
line inductors which generally are not accurate below 1% induction. Foam production through this model Raydan can be achieved through non-aspirated nozzles at 0.1%-1% (on20mm/25mm/40mm hose).
QUICKFLOW PRIMER PUMP
Quickflow Primer Pumps have been developed as compact, hand operated primers. Pumps are ruggedly built in cast aluminium to take the inevitable knocks of fire-fighting operations.Simple, single handed operation and low maintenance is assured with internal diaphragm and self-flushingnon-return valve protected by a brass / stainless line filter to minimise water debris blockages.Mounting is direct 4 x bolt to any flat surface/bracket at any angle to the pump.
SUCTION LINE FILTER
Aluminium bronze Suction Line Filter with 2″BSPF inlet and outlet and stainless mesh internal screen. Easily removable base for cleaning – spanner for removing base available seperately. Aluminium bronzes are most valued for their higher strength and corrosion resistance as compared to other bronze alloys.Another notable property of aluminium bronzes are their biostatic effects which prevents colonization by marine organisms including algae and lichens.
